The Ninth Lebanese Emigrant Youth Camp

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants - Directorate General of Emigrants - organizes the Ninth Lebanese Emigrant
Youth Camp from July 19 to July 26, 2009. It includes a program of visits to all Lebanese regions and a stay in a summer
residence near Beirut.

Information on the June 7, 2009 Elections in Lebanon

The Embassy of Lebanon in Washington DC would like to inform all Lebanese nationals residing in the United States of America who wish to participate in the Lebanese legislative elections that are due to take place on June the 7th in Lebanon of the following:

The required documents entitling voters to cast their ballot are:

 1.   Any valid Lebanese passport (burgundy or blue), with the exception of diplomatic and special passports, or
 2.   The Lebanese ID card (new edition).


The Embassy of Lebanon in Washington DC and the Lebanese General Consulates in LA, NY and Detroit,                 exclusively, will be at the disposal of their nationals to help provide assistance for passports renewal or  issuance. Lebanese nationals who wish to take part in the elections process are first requested to make sure that their names  are well and duly registered on the voters’ lists in Lebanon, as issued by the Ministry of Interior. This can be verified by visiting the following website: www.dgps.gov.lb
